This page explains what personal information is collected when you use the Lavi mobile app and the lavi.uz website (together, «Lavi»), how it is used, and how we protect it. Lavi is developed by an individual entrepreneur registered in Uzbekistan.
Information we collect
- Account information. Depending on how you sign up: your name, email address, and profile photo (provided by Apple or Google when you sign in with them), or the identifier of the Telegram account linked to your phone number, or an email and password (when signing up directly).
- Profile and content. Your username, bio, the recipes you add, comments, ratings, «saved» and «cooked» marks, and your followers/following list.
- Photos. If you want to add a photo to a recipe or a finished dish, we request camera or gallery access — only the photo you choose or take is uploaded.
- Imported links. When you import a recipe from another site, we process the link you provide and the public recipe data extracted from it (title, ingredients, steps, photo).
- Purchase information. If you purchase a Lavi Plus subscription, payment is handled entirely by Apple's App Store — your card number never reaches us. We only know whether your subscription is active.
- Technical information. Minimal technical logs needed to fix in-app errors (e.g., a failed request) — not used for advertising or tracking.
Why we use it
- To create your account and let you sign in to the app.
- To store and show you the content you add or save.
- To extract a recipe from a link through the import feature.
- To manage the features unlocked by a Lavi Plus subscription.
- To detect and fix problems in the app.
We do not sell your data and do not share it with third parties for advertising. We do not track your device for advertising purposes (there is no App Tracking Transparency prompt, because no such tracking takes place at all).
Who we share it with
Your data is stored and processed only with the following service providers necessary to run the app — each has its own privacy terms:
- Supabase — the primary database and storage where account data, content, and files are kept.
- Apple, Google, Telegram — as the identity service matching your chosen sign-in method.
- Azure OpenAI — only to structure imported recipe text (based on the public text or link you submit).
None of these services receive your data for advertising or marketing purposes.
Data retention
Your data is kept for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, your profile and personal content are removed from our systems within a reasonable period (typically within 30 days), except where retention is legally required.
Your rights
You can ask to view, correct, or delete your data at any time — through the Settings section in the app, or by emailing support@lavi.uz.
Children's privacy
Lavi is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
This policy may be updated from time to time. We will notify you of material changes in the app or on this page.
